Enjoying the Simple Joys of the Season

Homelessness can leave lasting emotional scars, especially on children. The fear and insecurity they experience can shape their futures in negative ways. But with your support, Lodi House is working tirelessly to change that. This year, thanks to your generosity, 35 children will wake up on Christmas morning safe, surrounded by their families, and free from the fear of where they will sleep or who will be caring for them.

At Lodi House, we are committed to protecting children by empowering their mothers with the tools and resources they need to move from crisis to stability. Through support services, job training, and housing assistance, we help these families rebuild their lives. Together, we replace fear with laughter, insecurity with hope, and create lasting memories through family meals, traditions, and monthly "family fun" events.

For over 24 years, Lodi House has been a lifeline for homeless women and children. Your donation allows us to continue offering a safe haven and a path toward independence, helping break the cycle of poverty and providing the stability families need to thrive.

With your help, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of mothers and children, creating lasting change and hope for a brighter future.

This Mother's Story

Griselda, a single mother of four, escaped an abusive relationship with nothing but a newborn and her three older children. Seeking refuge, she came to the Lodi House shelter, where she found support and safety. With determination, Griselda secured a full-time job with the Lodi Unified School District and moved into one of Lodi House’s transitional housing apartments.

Grateful for the help she received, Griselda now gives back by preparing a monthly dinner for families at the shelter. Through her perseverance and the generosity of others, Griselda has created a safe, stable life for her children—one filled with hope for the future.
